Schweizer Wanderwege

The hiking trail network links up the most beautiful landscapes Switzerland has to offer. This service – the only one of its kind in the world – is one of the success stories of Schweizer Wanderwege and its 26 cantonal hiking trail associations.  

Since 1934, Schweizer Wanderwege has ensured safe and attractive hiking routes with uniform signposting. Their work includes planning and quality assurance for hiking trail infrastructure as well as informing and inspiring broad sections of the public with hiking tips, events and a range of publications. All of this promotes hiking as an activity in harmony with nature and a form of preventative healthcare.
