Faction Skis

When Faction Skis was founded in 2006, they were outsiders. The founders, Australians, Canadians, Englishmen and Canadians, spent a winter in Verbier testing, filing and fine-tuning. Verbier is one of Europe's biggest playgrounds for winter sports and après-ski.

The founders of Faction Skis took a pragmatic approach: their skis had to be affordable, last more than 100 days of skiing per season without servicing and be easy to throw in a cupboard in summer. But the most important thing was the fun they wanted to have on their skis! The first skis were produced in the south of Evian, in France. On Christmas Eve, the first 40 pairs, wrapped in blankets, were brought to Verbier in a rented car. Since this first series, the design and production process have become more sophisticated. Some things have changed, new technologies and materials have come onto the market. At Faction Skis, however, we always remember the principles we started with: products that push boundaries and rebel against the norm. But above all, skis that the founders themselves love to ride. Faction Skis is still run by skiers who work for the community they love and are part of.
