Fidlock combines the advantages of two locking concepts: magnetic and mechanical locking. Fidlock combines the respective advantages and eliminates the disadvantages. The fasteners are particularly light to operate with one hand or gloves. A long development period lies behind the sophisticated latches. Fidlock has registered over 30 patents. The strong magnets close lightly, while the stable latching mechanism ensures lasting good closing force. Opening and closing work differently. The magnets close automatically. Opening is achieved by pushing, tilting or turning, whereby the magnets shift, reverse polarity and repel each other. Fidlock produces fasteners to individual requirements: quick closing or light unlocking. As is often the case, this product was born out of necessity: founder Joachim Fiedler toured the world as a professional musician. The carrying system of his cello box and bow holder annoyed him more and more each time. So he developed his own system, a mechanical magnetic closure for the bow holder. As he was convinced by the fastener, he wanted to make it available to others. Today, Fidlock can be found wherever there are fasteners: on helmets, bags, jackets, shoes, belts or on vehicles and furniture.
