La Sportiva is an Italian manufacturer based in Val di Fiemma in Val di Fiemme (Trentino). For three generations, the family-run company has been developing and producing for the entire outdoor sector: climbing, velcro and ski touring are the core worlds of La Sportiva. The Italians produce high-quality ski touring and freeride clothing, ski touring skis and shoes, clothing for mountain runners since 2012 and for sport climbing and bouldering since 2014.
At the heart of La Sportiva are shoes:
The La Sportiva success story begins in 1928: Narcisio Delladio, a trained shoemaker, produces wood and leather shoes for lumberjacks, woodcutters, farmers and soldiers. Mountain and ski boots followed. After the Second World War, demand increased very strongly and production tripled. The name of Sportiva footwear became increasingly well-known and crossed the borders of the valleys. From here, the history and fame of La Sportiva continued to develop. Today, the company produces boots and shoes for all types of outdoor activities: mountaineering and climbing - areas in which La Sportiva is the market leader - and mountain running and trekking. The best climbers and alpinists in the world rely on the top performance of La Sportiva for their projects on rock and ice.
The family-run company from the Dolomites does all it can to further develop the performance of its products with ever new innovations. In addition to the large selection of sport and casual shoes, the manufacturer has developed several models of high-quality ski boots. These can be optimally combined with the company's own ski bindings and skis. In addition to the production of shoes, la Sportive has increasingly expanded its range of clothing for the sport and outdoor sector in recent years. The clothing is predominantly made from breathable and fast-drying materials, which also have UV protection. After more than 80 years, La Sportiva's mission is still the same: Innovation out of passion.
The company is ISO 9002 certified and works to the highest quality standards. It is the company's aim to continue to be present on the market with high-quality products in the future, thus perpetuating the Italian tradition of technical shoemaking.
