The young mountain clothing company Maloja was founded in 2004 and combines fashion, trends, quality and functionality in one collection. The success story begins with a small picturesque village called Maloja and a snowboard photo on the internet. Fed up with organized mass tourism and annoying party hustle and bustle, the founders resolutely set off for the Graubünden mountain village of Maloja, just a few kilometers away. They were looking for something different.
Inspired by a passionate experience of nature there, the founding team of the then still nameless company decided to adopt Maloja as the company name. After all, the small Swiss mountain village stands for closeness to nature, experiencing nature and naturalness. Values to which the brand feels very attached. Maloja has now developed into a way of life. Based in Rimsting near Lake Chiemsee, the company scores highly with its imaginative collections for runners, bikers, cross-country skiers, snowboarders, ski tourers and freeriders.
