The company's rise began in 1921 with the production of canvas and fabric bags - the Millet family's success story began in a grocery store near Lyon in France. The first nylon backpack impresses with its lightness and waterproof properties. In 1977, Millet added functional clothing to its range. Gore-Tex® membrane and technical down are the materials from which the first parkas are made. Today, in addition to backpacks and clothing, the range also includes shoes and sleeping bags. In addition to cooperating with well-known professionals from the mountain sports scene, Millet is also involved as a sponsor of expedition events and the TSF-Millet ski mountaineering race. Design is a question of innovative ideas and functions - Millet has won several awards, including for the ULZ zipper jacket and the Everest boot.
