The story of Royal Robbins began some 30 years ago when Liz and Royal Robbins embarked on an arduous climbing trip through Yosemite National Park. Liz was struggling to find clothing that suited her and began designing her own outdoor clothing in 1975. In 1981, the couple founded the Royal Robbins company.
