Sometimes it's hard to believe what SRAM has been doing for more than 25 years. Back then, it was six employees in a small office who had a crazy idea. Today, SRAM has more than 2700 employees. And if the company continues like this? Who knows, maybe in 25 years they will have taught fish how to ride a bike. How crazy do you have to be to challenge a competitor that has 85% market share. Pretty crazy. But the guys at SRAM did it. Because their idea of converting shifting into turning movements was only logical for them. Although nobody would have thought of it until the early 80s. However. They believed in this crazy idea and opened a factory in Taiwan without outside funding. They ventured into components with a plastic derailleur: that's SRAM.
The company has the culture, the right people. People who are passionate about bicycles. Engineers who not only have the technical know-how, but also ride bikes themselves. When every feature clothing every single component is constantly being further developed, products are created that simply inspire everyone. Bicycle components are our be-all and end-all. SRAM, LLC started with the goal of developing the best gear shifters and changed the bicycle world forever with the introduction of Grip Shift. A state-of-the-art manufacturing plant is located in Schweinfurt, Germany. There was this vision and the desire to expand the market position. The collaboration with RockShox caused a huge stir in the cycling community worldwide. But SRAM was not satisfied with that. They couldn't let go of the idea of improving bicycles even further through the activity of the best brakes, bottom brackets and cranks. For this reason, they began working with Avid and Truvativ. Drive train heaven has been reached. And now? SRAM will continue to search for technical and technological improvements, apply them, further develop and redefine the ultimate bike. Adjust. Optimize. Adjust. Optimize. Riding away from others.
