The name Teva comes from the Hebrew and means "nature". For over 25 years now, it has been almost synonymous with outdoor sandals.
The Teva company was founded in 1982 by Mark Thatcher. Working as a rafting guide in the Grand Canyon, Thatcher was looking for a shoe that would meet the special requirements of this sport. As this did not exist, he developed it himself - the first waterproof sports sandal. Teva is still the market leader in sports sandals today, but now offers a wide range of functional footwear from robust hiking boots to fashionable toe sandals. What all products have in common is their sophisticated and elaborate construction, which combines high wearing comfort and versatility.
