You need a climbing harness, rope and climbing shoes, just as you would in a climbing hall, too. In an outdoor climbing park, though, you need a bit more equipment to stay safe. In the video, sales advisor Beni reveals what he’d take with him.
The rugged rocks are bathed in sunlight, the birds are twittering: what could be nicer than climbing outdoors? Unlike in climbing halls, though, climbing parks have a few new challenges in store for you. You need to bring your own expresses, the holds aren’t colour-coded and you always need to be on the look-out for falling rocks. This all calls for the proper equipment – from climbing helmets, to ropes, safety equipment and much more. The video provides an overview. If you need new climbing equipment, just come into our stores.
We worked with our colleagues at Höhenfieber in Ticino to produce this tutorial. This mountain school also offers climbing courses to learn more.
