Cleaning products: for clean outdoor clothing

For a tour lasting several days, you need a change of clothes. So that you don't have to stow half your wardrobe in your backpack, you can also wash clothes on the go. Pack only the most important dresses plus a change of clothes to minimise the weight on your back. If something gets dirty, you can put on your change of clothes and simply wash the soiled items quickly with the right detergent on the go.

At Transa you will find various detergents that you can use to wash outdoor clothing or functional underwear. You can also use them to wash special, breathable materials such as Gore-Tex. It is also recommended that you waterproof your outdoor clothing and functional underwear before every tour to make the fabric more dirt and water-repellent.

Cleaning agents: for clean laundry

You can use detergent for different materials such as wool, down, synthetic fibres or GORE-TEX® and wash not only your clothes but also your sleeping bag with it.

You can recognise a good detergent by the following features:

• It is available in different sizes. This means you can pack exactly the quantity you need for the duration of your trip.
• It not only removes pollution, but also unpleasant odours from your clothes and shoes, as well as from your camping or sleeping bag and other items that are part of your luggage.
• It emits a pleasant, subtle odour, but not an overpowering smell, so that your freshly washed laundry always smells good but not like perfumery.
• The application is very economical, simple and very similar to what you are used to from common household detergents.
• Natural enzymes and microbes quickly remove unpleasant odours from your camping tent or clothes. The fabric is cleaned in a completely natural way and then smells clean and fresh again.
• Special cleaning agents for outdoor activities reliably remove dirt, oil and grease as well as mould spores, bacteria and algae.
• There are cleaning products for spraying on, but also some that you can use for soaking. Depending on the degree of pollution, you can choose the right method.
• Some cleaning agents are specially designed for certain materials, for example for plastic fibres, but also cotton, merino wool, softshell, fleece or even down.
• The best case scenario is that they are environmentally friendly, meaning they are filled in recyclable packaging and the cleaning agent is biodegradable.
• The following substances should not be included: brighteners, phosphates or UV-reflective chemicals.
• Some products also offer a preventive effect against moth infestation.
