As a cycling fan, it's straight in the transitional period that you often stand in front of your wardrobe and ask yourself: What should I wear today? Is the short-sleeved jersey enough or should it be the long-sleeved jersey? Or do I even need a jackets? And which trousers should I wear today, the long winter tights or the short bib? Arm warmers and leg warmers for women can be an excellent addition straight away in spring and autumn. Especially when the mornings and evenings are quite cool but the days are still really warm.
It's still cold when you start your tour in the early morning. But as the day progresses, the sun comes out and the temperatures rise with it. If you ride your racing bike or mountain bike a lot, you probably already have arm warmers for women. As a tight-fitting and elasticated jersey extension, they compensate for rapid temperature changes on the go in no time at all. They are usually very light and can be stowed away in the back pocket of your jersey or backpack in no time at all. Arm & leg warmers are usually more elasticated than the jersey, but at least as breathable. They are usually made like a tube or consist of several segments. The variant with segments has the advantage that it is slightly pre-shaped in the elbow area and therefore fits even better and more comfortably.
Leg warmers for women turn short tights or mountain bike shorts into long cycling trousers in no time at all. Just like arm warmers, leg warmers are super elastic, breathable, light, compact to stow away and even more comfortable to wear in the segmented version.
For many, leg warmers are too much of a good thing on the bike, even in the transition period. Knee warmers or knee warmers, the slightly shorter version of leg warmers, are enough for them. They do not cover the entire leg, but only the knee joint, which is sensitive to the cold.
