The Alpha Jacket M from Arc'teryx is a robust and breathable mountaineering jacket made from two different windproof and waterproof GORE-TEX® materials. The activity uses three-layer, highly abrasion-resistant GORE-TEX® with an ultra-light, extra-resistant Hadron outer material. Hadron is a material with a waffle structure and liquid crystal polymer ripstop that redefines the standard for super-light durability for mountaineering. In terms of abrasion resistance, it can easily keep up with materials twice as heavy. It has GORE-TEX® PRO reinforcements in particularly exposed areas such as the shoulders and forearms for maximum robustness. The patented Micro Grid Backer technology is used in the GORE-TEX® PRO™ laminate - it is also spun-dyed, which means that the particularly stable pigment dyes are incorporated into the polyamide during the spinning process and thus become an integral part of the fiber and therefore the fabric. The result is better for the environment and the high UV resistance improves the overall quality. The specially woven inner lining protects the GORE-TEX® membrane from the inside against abrasion and glides easily over other layers of clothing, allowing you to move freely. The fine backer material is highly breathable and very robust despite its low weight. On sweaty sections, you can use the ventilation zippers under the arms for additional ventilation. The storm and helmet-compatible StormHood hood can be easily adjusted even when wearing gloves and provides reliable protection without impairing your vision. The two zip pockets are positioned so that they are easily accessible even when wearing a climbing harness. There is also a laminated inside pocket at chest height. A recco reflector provides the necessary safety, allowing you to be found more quickly by search and rescue services in an emergency. With the Alpha jacket, you can go further than ever before.
