A freeride boot that is not only suitable for fast descents, but also for extended ascents.
The Hawx Ultra XTD 130 is one of the lightest hybrid boots. This means that it looks and functions like a ski boot, but only weighs around 1.6 kg. The low weight can be achieved thanks to the very thin injection-molded Grilamid walls and the light inner shoe. As the name suggests, the Hawx Ultra XTD 130 is based on the alpine classic Hawx Ultra. Accordingly, the XTD 130 is also built on a sporty 98mm Leist. But that doesn't mean that only super narrow feet will fit into this boot! Its fit is so good that you hardly feel cramped. However, if you need a little more width: The shell can be widened relatively easily just with the help of a stove thanks to Memory Fit, or you can try the Prime XTD (same shoe, slightly more volume) The shaft rotation is sufficient and, above all, almost resistance-free despite the overlap shaft. When closed, however, the Hawx Ultra XTD 130 is quite hard and direct and offers good flex despite the relatively stubborn Grilamid. The shaft can be adjusted to 15 and 17 degrees of inclination, while Grip Walk soles ensure walking comfort and binding compatibility. In addition, the Hawx Ultra XTD 130 naturally fits into any pin inserts. The Mimic liner is rather thin, but made from a stable, thermoformable foam. It is more ergonomically pre-shaped around the ankles. The buckles can be fixed in the open position, which is particularly noticeable when walking. The Hawx Ultra XTD 130 is for all those for whom the descent is sacred, but who are finally looking for more comfort on the ascent.
