The Super AIR R Spherical MIPS from Bell is a safe and stable bike helmet with removable chin bar - ideal for fast-paced downhill rides. In terms of safety, the mountain bike helmet builds on its stable In-Mold construction in conjunction with the Spherical Multi-directional Impact Protection System. With Mips Spherical, the foil that allows twisting between the helmet shell and the head to prevent spine and brain injuries disappears from the inside of the helmet. Instead of the foil, a two-part foam-out made of two different materials keeps rotational forces away from the head and spine. This foaming can move independently of the outer shell and head in the event of an impact. At the same time, the construction allows the AIR R Spherical MIPS an increased supply of fresh air, which is quite welcome to you in racing.
