Black Diamond Camalot - the name is cult! The double-axle C4 clamping kits are a must for clean climbing. Proven a thousand times over in the cracks on El Capitan, they also perform well time and again on long routes in the Alps. The remarkable thing about the Camalot is that it combines an unprecedented range of expansion with a particularly narrow head width. The double-axle design allows larger clamping segments to be folded in, giving a wider range of use than with conventional clamping kits. The slings are color-coded to make it easier to find the right size. With the newly revised Camalot C4, Black Diamond has gone one better: they are a full ten percent lighter and yet just as durable as before. Compared to the previous models, the design has also been rejuvenated and the Camalots have been given a more modern look. The clamping segments are lighter, their geometry offers an optimized strength-to-weight ratio and the slings have also been redesigned for better differentiation. From size four and higher, the newly designed pull lever function allows the large clamping segments to be folded in while the Camalots are hanging on the climbing harnesses.
