The Camalot Z4 from Black Diamond is the first with a center bar that remains rigid during placement, but is movable after placement to prevent hiking. This is achieved by the independently routed tension wires: this means that the Camalot Z4 remains rigid while it is under tension and the clamping segments are folded in. Once in place, the center bar can move, preventing hiking when cable tension is applied to it.
