The HotForge Bent Gate by Black Diamond is a classic keylock carabiner, making it versatile, light and compact. The carabiners are hot-forged to save weight. It has a lower geometry for clipping in, while the flat construction on the webbing side ensures that the sling hardly twists. The larger rope contact surface makes the carabiners more durable and at the same time protects the rope, while the flat areas on the snapper reduce the risk of the snapper accidentally popping open. The geometry of the keylock nose has also been optimized to make clipping and unclipping the rope even easier. With its curved snapper, the HotForge is ideal for clipping in the rope, i.e. on the rope side of your express.
