The HotForge Straight Gate by Black Diamond is a classic keylock carabiner, making it versatile, light and compact. The carabiners are hot-forged to save weight. It has a lower geometry for clipping in, while the flat construction on the webbing side ensures that the sling hardly twists. The larger rope contact surface makes the carabiners more durable, while the flat areas on the snapper reduce accidental bouncing. The geometry of the keylock nose has also been optimized to make clipping and unclipping even easier. With its straight snapper, the HotForge is ideal for clipping into bolts.
