The Storm 450 Headlamp from Black Diamond is a headlamp that can actually withstand storms: it is not only waterproof (for 30 minutes down to a depth of one meter), but also dustproof. The housing has a compact and ergonomic design and is easy to operate even in poor weather conditions. Operation is made easier by a second button for selecting modes. You can choose whether you want full luminosity of up to 450 lumens at a distance or close up, whether you prefer dimming, whether flashing is sufficient or whether you prefer to switch to one of the three night modes (red, green or blue). In addition, the revised optical efficiency not only ensures brighter light, but also conserves battery life, which can now be tracked with a battery power meter (three LEDs) for six settings. Also on board is the practical PowerTap technology, thanks to which you can easily adjust the brightness setting at the touch of a finger on the touch-sensitive housing. The memory mode saves the desired brightness setting for the next time you switch it on. And you can switch on the lock function for transportation in your backpack.
