The Transfer Lt from Black Diamond is probably the lightest UIAA-certified avalanche shovel on the market. Designed specifically for fast and efficient avalanche rescue in the backcountry, it features a riveted size shovel blade that is light and thin to cut through scree while providing a large 550 cm² shovel volume. The two-piece aluminum telescoping handle is durable, can be made small and removed for transport and is easy to grip with the t-handle.
