The Vision Helmet MIPS by Black Diamond is a durable, foam-based helmet. Made from expanded polypropylene (EPP), composite foam with molded-in expanded polystyrene (EPS) and a polycarbonate helmet shell. The helmet is also equipped with the revolutionary MIPS technology. The MIPS system protects the head from the rotational force of an impact if the blow is from an oblique angle. This additional protection system reduces the rotational force caused by an impact. Thanks to the movable second shell mounted between the helmet and head, the energy is not transferred to the head but is dissipated by the movement between the first and second shells. And at just over 200 grams, the climbing helmet is a real lightweight. The improved fit at the sides and back provides additional protection that meets the proposed UIAA requirements. The strategically placed ventilation openings ensure pleasant air circulation in warm temperatures. The fastening system and chin strap of the Vision are light to use. The integrated headlamp clips are also arranged in such a way that no material gets caught when slinging over and climbing - even after dark - is still possible without any problems with the Vision Helmet MIPS on your head.
