Solid big mountain ski for the experienced and intrepid freerider.
Despite its new name and new lengths, the Dancer 3 from Faction is a charger. The dual titanal layer, the relatively flat tail combined with a rather hard flex give the ski smooth-running and the control you are looking for at high speeds.
The elliptical sidecut of just over 20 meters is a perfect match. This means a longer radius underfoot and a shorter radius at the ends. This shape makes the skiing smooth-running and agile when you really push it.
However, the hardness and the medium radius are offset by the clear front rocker and the fine tail rocker. They still let you smear a turn or brake the skiing quickly if you need to.
The poplar wood core also keeps the weight as low as possible, so you can also equip the ski with a touring binding if you want to shred the backcountry. The 106 mm under the binding type naturally ensures sufficient buoyancy in any snow and is still narrow enough to bite properly when the going gets a little harder.
If you are a good skier and speed is your friend, then the Dancer 3 could be a good fit for you as a partner in crime.
