The DC4 combination whetstone from Fällkniven is one of the best whetstones on the market. The whetstone consists of a 25 micron fine diamond stone on one side and a ceramic stone made of synthetic sapphire on the other. Unlike other whetstones, these materials have the advantage that they do not lose their flat surface over time. And with these very hard materials of the DC4 sharpening stone, even very hard knives can be worked on. The DC4 combination whetstone can be used dry and should only be cleaned occasionally with warm water and possibly a mild detergent. The stone may feel a little rough when new, but will become smoother during use. The back of the leather case has a rough surface, which can also be used as a leather scraper.
