A strong, light and easy-to-use women's freetouring ski boot with uncompromising power transmission.
With the women's Transalp Tour WS model, fish has succeeded perfectly in combining the descent-oriented Ranger Free ski boot and the ascent-oriented Travers ski boot. While the Transalp Pro model is closer to the Ranger Free, this shoe with its slightly softer flex lies pretty much in between.
It has inherited the 80 degree shaft rotation, the gaiter that prevents snow and water from penetrating and its low weight (1250 g for size 24.5) from the Travers line.
However, as soon as the boot is set to downhill mode, the advantages of the Ranger Free come into play: a comfortable flex of 110, good lateral stiffness and the resulting precise steering of the skiing.
This is achieved with a stable double lock ski/walk mechanism, a light, pre-shaped, reinforced and very supportive lace-up inner shoe, its two easy-to-use, finely adjustable buckles and an excellent powerstrap. This closure mechanism allows the strap to be opened and unhooked lightly, especially in icy conditions, without having to be completely rethreaded afterwards. Particularly practical: all buckles and straps can be operated intuitively and with just one hand.
All this is built into a light, yet stable and robust outer shoe made from TPU and Pebax Rnew - the material is based on sustainable raw materials and enables a very low overall weight with high stiffness values.
The Transalp Tour WS is the best choice for women who control their (also wider) touring skis with power and precision and want a light, comfortable boot for repeated ascents.
