Stable and safe freetouring binding type made of carbon-reinforced plastic and high elasticity.
The Tecton 13 from Fritschi is the perfect freetouring binding type for all those who demand power transmission, safety and reliability. Carbon-reinforced plastic allows better power transmission and durability without adding weight. Wherever high dynamic forces act on the system, metal components are still used - be it hardened steel, forged aluminum or metal alloy parts produced in complex processes.
The unique selling point of the Tecton 13 is the hold-down system with a non-rotating alpine heel clamp, the side release at the front with DIN value adjustment and the resulting elasticity. At the rear, the shoes are pressed directly onto the heel plate, which is directly connected to the ski, from above - as with an alpine binding.
Just like the concept of alpine bindings, the Tecton 13 is released sideways at the front and frontally at the rear. This results in a safe and reliable release. At the same time, it dampens lateral impacts when skiing. The long dynamic travel of 13 millimetres for the toe and 9 millimetres of elasticity on the alpine heel prevent unintentional releases.
Another safety plus is the release in the event of a forward fall. Other pin binding types hold the shoe in place at the front and usually only release it when pressure is applied to the opening lever. In contrast, the Tecton 13 releases the shoe from an angle of 65 degrees via the release lever. This ensures greater safety and prevents injuries.
Last but not least, the binding type offers easy beginners' access and intuitive operation.
It is always amazing how Fritschi has managed to deliver such a light binding type with all ascent options and so much downhill performance with the Tecton 13.
