GPS bike navigator with 3-inch touch display, improved navigation, simplified user interface and long battery life for touring cyclists and e-bikers.
The Edge Explore 2 from Garmin is an easy-to-use bike navigator that is the ideal companion for touring cyclists and e-bikers both on and off the road. The user interface has been given a revised look. It is even clearer and easier to use and is always easy to read on the responsive 3-inch touch display. On board are a pre-installed map of Europe with popularity maps and extensive navigation functions. To do this, it uses several global navigation satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou) to provide better positioning in more difficult environments than when using GPS alone. The battery lasts up to 16 hours in total. Whether along the Rhine, over the pass or simply to the lake, the tour can only be enjoyed if it meets all the requirements - it must be beautiful, have little traffic and be easy to ride on the bike of your choice. This is where the Edge Explore 2 comes in handy, as it makes it possible to avoid roads with heavy traffic when routing. In addition, it always finds the right underground - whether gravel, asphalt or dirt roads - thanks to the customizable activity profiles. After loading a route, it is displayed on the start screen and you are ready to go. If you have chosen a route with climbs, ClimbPro shows you how steep each climb is, how long it lasts and how many meters in altitude you have to climb. Especially for e-bikers who have a compatible bike with an ANT+ LEV interface, there is an e-bike routing that takes into account the battery charge level, the selected support and the range of the e-bike. If the Edge Explore 2 is paired with a compatible smartphone, several cyclists using compatible Garmin products can always stay in contact via GroupTrack and group messages - even if they are out of sight. Those who prefer to ride alone are protected by the automatic accident notification, which sends a message with location to predefined emergency contacts in the event of a fall. At the end of the tour, all recorded route data can be transferred to the Garmin Connect portal or app and evaluated. With the Edge Explore 2, the search is over, because the bike navigator reliably takes you to your destination on the most beautiful route.
