Large axe for splitting all types of firewood.

If you need firewood, you hopefully have the large splitting axe from Gränsfors. A strong, cutting axe with a thin blade that cuts lightly into the wood while the thicker part pushes it apart and splits it. The handle has a steel handle guard below the axe head and round notches at the lower end for a particularly good grip. The shape of the blade guard is designed to cover the cutting edge and the upper part of the neck. When you carry the axe on your backpack, it prevents the axe head from cutting into the backpack. An axe is only as good as its smith - all axes made by Gränsfors Bruk are forged by hand. Ovako steel is used, which is obtained exclusively from recycled scrap metal. The steel used has been specially developed to produce the perfect axe head. The steel is not too hard, not too soft and not too flexible.
