Particularly light, small hatchet.
At a straight 300 grams, the mini hatchet is the lightest and handiest hatchet from Gränsfors Bruk. It is not only suitable for delimbing and splitting firewood, but also for killing fish thanks to its lightly rounded neck. The axe and cutler Lennart Pettersson developed this axe with the idea of having a particularly light tool that could keep up with the bigger ones. The shape of the blade guard is designed to cover the cutting edge and the upper part of the neck. When you carry the axe on your backpack, it prevents the axe head from cutting into the backpack. An axe is only as good as its smith - all axes made by Gränsfors Bruk are forged by hand. Ovako steel is used, which is obtained exclusively from recycled scrap metal. The steel used has been specially developed to produce the perfect axe head. The steel is not too hard, not too soft and not too flexible.
