The light, versatile survival axe.
The outdoor axe from Gränsfors Bruk was co-developed by survivalist Lars Fält. The axe is versatile and light enough to take with you on any tour. Despite its low weight, it can be used for felling trees thanks to its relatively long handle and heavy, elongated head. Of course, the outdoor axe is also suitable for delimbing and can even be used as a large knife. The handle has a steel handle guard underneath the axe head. The shape of the blade guard is designed to cover the cutting edge and the upper part of the neck. When you transport the splitting hammer, it prevents the axe head from cutting into it. An axe is only as good as its smith - all axes made by Gränsfors Bruk are forged by hand. Ovako steel is used, which is obtained exclusively from recycled scrap metal. The steel used has been specially developed to produce the perfect axe head. The steel is not too hard, not too soft and not too flexible.
