Precise hatchet for carving and working with dry wood.
A long, thin, straight cutting edge with a straight, angled bevel, a narrower neck and a straight handle - that's what the Gränsfors carpenter's axe has to offer. The forged inward bevel from the lower end to the base of the head allows you to hold the axe almost exactly over the center of the cutting edge. This makes it particularly suitable for working with dry wood, carving or any other work that requires particular precision. The shape of the blade guard is designed to cover the cutting edge and the upper part of the neck. When you carry the axe on your backpack, it prevents the axe head from cutting into the backpack. An axe is only as good as its smith - all axes made by Gränsfors Bruk are forged by hand. Ovako steel is used, which is obtained exclusively from recycled scrap metal. The steel used has been specially developed to produce the perfect axe head. The steel is not too hard, not too soft and not too flexible. The right axe for an evening around the campfire so you don't get bored.
