Light hiking backpack for women with well thought-out and no superfluous features. Its innovative hybrid carrying system combines a free-floating system for the lower back with a breathable padding system for the upper back. This saves energy as the weight lies against the back.
The Maven 45 S/M by Gregory, like all Gregorys, is a minimalist that relies on robust outer fabric and well thought-out features and dispenses with those that are not. What is not missing is an innovative carrying system that allows you to move freely and the backpack virtually floats independently, transferring the load evenly to the lower back. The hybrid suspension system combines a free-floating system for the lower back with a breathable padding system for the upper back. This unique approach captures the best of both worlds - a super-comfortable lower back comfort cradle system with patent-pending FreeFloat hip belt technology and a close-fitting 3D foam upper back panel. The back minimizes contact and saves energy by keeping most of the pack weight close to the back. The light aluminum frame in combination with a fiberglass cross brace keeps the weight close to the back and is directly connected to the FreeFloat suspension. The toploader lid has gear loops and the backpack itself has a separate bottom compartment. You can also easily access the contents from the side thanks to a full-length side zipper. The rain covers are already included in the extra zippered compartment, which can of course also be used for other purposes. You can quickly and securely stow your sunglasses in the holder on the shoulder strap and there are also zip pockets on the hip fins. There are also side mesh pockets and an oversized front mesh pocket as well as an adjustable attachment loop for trekking poles or an ice picks.
