Light, robust women's hiking backpack with a comfortable carrying system and adjustable back length for multi-day tours.
The Maven 55L from Gregory impresses with its minimalist design, robust outer fabric and well thought-out features. The heart of the hiking backpack, however, is the innovative and breathable FreeFloat carrying system with dynamic flex panels that adapt to the body's natural movements. The hybrid suspension system combines a free-floating system for the lower back with a breathable padding system for the upper back. The load is transferred evenly to the lower back, while the backpack virtually floats. This unique approach captures the best of both worlds - a super-comfortable lower back comfort cradle system with patent-pending FreeFloat hipbelt technology and a close-fitting 3D foam upper back panel. The back minimizes contact and saves energy by keeping most of the pack weight close to the back. The light aluminum frame in combination with a fiberglass cross brace keeps the weight close to the back and is directly connected to the FreeFloat suspension. A comfort hip belt with 3D construction further increases carrying comfort and ensures that the backpack stays where it belongs. The shoulder straps and comfort cradle system are adapted to the female anatomy so that nothing chafes or pinches. Thanks to the full-length side zip, you can access the main compartment quickly and easily. There is also a large front mesh pocket, side mesh pockets and zip pockets on the hip fins. The bottom compartment is ideal for sleeping bags and has a removable divider. To keep the contents dry even in the rain, the backpack is equipped with a matching rain covers, which can be found in an extra zippered compartment. You can stow your sunglasses quickly and securely in the holder on the shoulder strap. Material loops on the lid, compression straps and attachment loops for trekking poles or an ice picks round off the features of the trekking backpack. With the Maven 55L, nothing stands in the way of a demanding multi-day tour in the mountains.
