Sturdy yet light trekking shoe for the Alps and demanding tours.
The Alverstone II from Hanwag combines light weight with plenty of stability to keep you safe at the top. The Alverstone II uses Perwanger nubuck leather as well as polyamide and polyurethane, supported by Gore-Tex lining. The two-zone lacing is precise, but also quick to open, and the special tread design of the Vibram Integral Light sole ensures the shoe's low weight - as well as the right grip. This is the big theme of the shoe: due to its design, the upper of the shoes moves lightly outwards (laterally) and thus synchronously with the axis of the lower leg. In the Alverstone II, a particularly abrasion-resistant fabric made from polyamide and polyurethane yarns supports the stability of the upper. A more flexible polyamide fabric is used for the "flex zones". A TPU frame between the heel and midfoot ensures torsional stability, while the downward frame in the heel area allows the activity of softer PU, which ultimately provides better damping with reliable stability. The 3D PrismBase technology used in the outsole reduces weight. The Alverstone II is also equipped with a stable "Climbing Zone". Thanks to the tweaked design, the soles are of course also resoleable. The right shoes for demanding terrain, alpine crossings and trekking.
