Compact dome tent with a sensational weight/space ratio. Designed for high alpine activities - the small footprint makes it light to pitch. Very stable, even in storms or snow.
The Jannu from Hilleberg is a dome tent for two people. The original idea was to create a tents for high alpine activities. It therefore has a small footprint. This makes it light on narrow ledges and between large boulders. The self-supporting dome construction only needs to be braced at the vestibule. The Jannu is very stable, even in a storm. The construction with multiple poles crossing points can withstand even high snow loads. Thanks to its enormous carrying capacity with high snow loads, it has also proven itself for winter tents and high mountain trekking. The Jannu offers plenty of space for two people with equipment. Its low weight and self-supporting construction also appeal to many globetrotters and paddlers. It is also a favorite with solo adventurers. It is still light enough for long tours or weekend trips. The coupled inner and outer tent speeds up pitching. It is very quick and light to pitch, even in the worst weather. The guy ropes can be flexibly attached to the poles where they are needed. The entrance can be opened from two sides, depending on the wind direction. A special technical detail is the successful roof vent with snow-proof hatch, which can be easily adjusted from the inside and offers a large opening to allow steam to escape. However, it can also be closed completely to keep the heat inside. The raised groundsheet protects against moisture in the tent.
