The Hilleberg snow pegs are extra strong and made of hardened aluminum. They also work in hard compacted snow and survive contact with tent hammers, snow shovels and ice axes. Nevertheless, they are very light. Basically, the tent is guyed out in the snow in the same way as in summer, but of course it is best to use wider pegs or snow anchors. An integrated line with hook allows the peg to be either buried in snow or sand at right angles to the tent or used vertically like a normal peg. The Hilleberg snow peg is versatile - it also works in sand. The pegs are supplied in a packsack made of robust XP material.
