Strong downhill boot with great ascent properties and lots of comfort.
The Dispatch Pro is the first real touring boot from K2. At approx. 1500 grams, it is light, has a grippy Vibram sole and is made of Pebax Bio-Resin (PA). Until now, K2 had excellent and popular 50/50 shoes, i.e. shoes that were equally suitable for touring and freeriding. The Dispatch Pro is almost indistinguishable from them on the outside, but what makes the Dispatch Pro stand out is the Boa closure system on the inner shoe. Thanks to this, you can adjust the shoe very precisely to your foot, so that you have a secure hold and can control the skiing very precisely. Even on the ascent, i.e. with the outer shoe partially open, the Boa system in the inner shoe reduces annoying heel slippage and allows you to ski without blisters.
This boot will certainly appeal more to descent-oriented ski tourers, as this is exactly where its strengths lie: strong turns, good damping, a progressive flex and super control of the skis. 1500 grams can also be moved effortlessly on the ascent and thanks to the low-friction shaft rotation of 60 degrees, hardly any summit is out of reach.
