Katadyn Pocket Keramik Ersatzelement

Replacement filter element for Katadyn pocket filters.

The replacement ceramic element is suitable for the classic Katadyn Pocket water filter. The silver-impregnated ceramic filter element works reliably against bacteria and protozoa and the mini pores of the filter ceramic (pore size: 0.2 micron = 0.0002 mm) are smaller than the microorganisms. Due to their size, these cannot pass through the filter element and are thus removed from the water. The filter element is sufficient or should be replaced after 50000 liters at the latest. The capacitiy of the ceramic filter element depends on the water quality. The dirtier the water, the more often the ceramic must be cleaned. Cleaning can also be done on the go, but also reduces the filter capacity of max. 50000 liters. If the opening of the test template fits over the ceramic, the ceramic filter element must be replaced. Note: Check the filter element for cracks after each cleaning, if the filter has been dropped or in the event of frost, as otherwise unfiltered, contaminated water can pass through the filter.
