The Mangart GTX Mid from Lowa is a high-performance mountaineering boots, ideal for demanding hikes and high mountain tours. The synthetic upper material is not only hard-wearing, but also pleasantly light, making the shoe the perfect companion on long tours.
Inside, the GORE-TEX® membrane provides reliable protection from the wet and cold, while the breathability guarantees a pleasant shoe climate. The Vibram Alp Trac Numen sole offers secure grip on steep rock, supported by a large climbing zone and a sharp-edged lug arrangement that automatically removes dirt.
The innovative Close To The Ground technology minimizes the ground clearance of the soles to provide a natural feel and stable footing on difficult undergrounds such as scree fields or rock ledges. In addition, the toe area is designed to maximize proximity to the rock for an improved feel for the underground (Close to the Rock technology).
Additional comfort is provided by a shock absorber integrated into the insole in the heel area, which softens the impact when walking. The shoe is resoleable, which increases its longevity and makes a sustainable contribution. The high flexural rigidity (shoe stiffness stiff) ensures solid sole performance even under load.
Thanks to the 2 Zone Lacing, the shoe can be individually adjusted to the forefoot and upper. The patented X-Lacing Light technology fixes the tongue both vertically and horizontally to prevent slipping and pressure points. The FlexZone and flexible lace-loop lacing (Flexfit) make it easier to bend the ankle joint to prevent painful blisters.
