Ultimate freeride binding type with pin standard on the ascent and alpine standard on the descent.
The Duke PT 16 is Brand's answer to the ever-increasing demand for hybrid binding types and, of course, the Shift in particular. Basically, the Duke PT 16 is an uncompromising, fully-fledged alpine binding up to value-z 16, which can be converted into a pin binding in two simple steps.
At first glance, it may seem a little daunting that you have to remove the front head to be able to ski with it. Firstly, however, removing the front head and putting it back on again, even with snow on it, is no problem. And secondly, it always makes sense to reduce the moving weight when walking. Having 300 grams on your foot or in your backpack makes a huge difference. A 10 degree climbing aid is discreetly integrated into the stopper plate.
In riding mode, the Duke PT 16 is a mixture of a Griffon and a Jester binding type. Downhill performance is therefore guaranteed, thanks in part to the AFD Gliding Plate with Sole ID "Norm", which supports the shoe perfectly and ensures compatibility with alpine, tour and grip walking soles.
So if you are looking for uncompromising alpine power and still don't want to do without pins on the ascent, the Duke PT 16 is the perfect choice.
