The MSR Evo Tail extension elements create more buoyancy and prevent sinking. The wings fit all line shoes in MSR's Evo series. Simply slide them on, tighten the adjustment knob and you have more buoyancy, for example in low snow or with a heavy backpack. Otherwise, they are light to carry thanks to the low profile.
