The special thing about this bar profile is that the 35-millimetre clamping area (i.e. the stiffest part of the handlebar) can be reduced to a minimum. The round shape of the handlebar therefore changes very quickly to a flattened oval shape (the rise or rise) and then back to a standard 22-millimeter clamping diameter for the control zone.
