Ortovox Ascent 30 Avabag Kit

Ortovox offers brand new with the Ascent 30 Avabag a spacious and easy to carry backpack with a really lightweight and expandable avalanche airbag system, which Ortovox calls Avabag for short. With the Avabag, a pull of the trigger punctures a nitrogen-filled cartridge, whereupon the airbag inflates within three seconds by pressurizing the cartridge and drawing in ambient air. The system cannot freeze or corrode, and the handles, with the cartridge removed, can be practiced as many times in advance as needed to be ready for an emergency. The airbag cover is seamlessly welded, correspondingly tear-resistant and compactly foldable. The backpack is also impressive with its thirty liters of volume: It offers a back-friendly foamed back system, wide hip belts, a circumferential two-way front zipper, a helmet net, a separate safety compartment, holders for snowboards, snowshoes and ice axes and all-around water-repellent zippers.
