Extremely light carbon avalanche probes with a very compact packing size.
The Carbon 240 Superlight span style="white-space: pre; "is the lightest avalanche probe with a length of 240 centimeters from Ortovox. Carbon as a material is not only an advantage in terms of weight - it also makes the probe very rigid. Another advantage is the material's low thermal conductivity - snow and ice stick less quickly to the carbon probe. Thanks to the improved Quick-Lock tensioning system, the probe can be tensioned and locked in one direction of movement. When tightening, the knot can snap directly into the system and the probe is tensioned. The voltage can be perfectly readjusted if necessary thanks to the adjusting screw. The avalanche probe consists of seven extra short segments and has a very compact packing size. The Carbon 240 Superlight has depth markings and a new, intuitive visual guidance system. Thanks to the clear one-meter markings, the high-contrast depth scale and the colored end segments, you can estimate the burial depth at lightning speed, communicate and quickly adapt the shovel strategy to the burial depth. The significantly larger diameter of the probe tip enables light penetration, even in hard snow. The lowest, neon orange segment shows you when you are approaching the buried victim while shoveling. If it is uncovered, continue shoveling carefully. Compact and light, yet intuitive and quick to use - that's the Carbon 240 Superlight.
