The Freino carabiner from Petzl is designed for use with single ropes and Petzl devices for abseiling. The carabiner has a brake hook and is ideal for increasing or controlling braking friction when abseiling or lowering without having to open the carabiner or use additional equipment. It can be inserted into and removed from the brake hook with one hand and locks automatically thanks to the twist lock.
