The Samaya2.5 from the Samaya brand is a tent that was made for the fourth season and extremes: for camping in the snow, in winter, in the cold. It is designed for two (or a maximum of three) people who are looking for an ultralight tents for 'fast and light ascents', winter mountaineering, expeditions and as a bivouac for ski touring. It is designed as a single-wall tent with taped seams. Of course, it can be used at any time of year, but the breathable fabric works best when there is a temperature difference between inside and outside. Moisture is then transported from the inside to the outside. The materials are extremely high quality and light. The composite fabric of the tent consists of three beds, the core of which is the Nanovent membrane. It is sandwiched between hydrophobic ripstop nylon on the outside and hydrophilic nylon on the inside. A stronger fabric is used at the bottom - it consists of Dyneema in the middle and a layer of Mylar above and below. The fabric is also laminated in three layers. Dyneema filaments laid on top of each other at a 90° angle ensure the mechanical properties of the fabric and make it possible to contain tears in the event of damage. The two beds of Mylar bind the fabric together and ensure excellent abrasion resistance and a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm. In addition to its power, the materials are very light to repair, which increases the service life of the tent. Reinforcements such as on the vent are made of Cordura, the water-repellent Aquaguard zips are from YKK, the three FeatherLite NFL 8.7 mm poles are from the manufacturer DAC, the pegs are from Swiss Piranha and the reflective guy ropes are also made of Dyneema. The camping tent has two bags on the sides and one under the roof. The tent has ventilators on the sides and in the roof. The Samaya2.5 is very well thought out and offers a great balance between minimal comfort, power and lightness. The weight can be reduced to approx. 1460 grams and the packing size is truly small with a volume of approx. 6 liters. The tent can be set up and taken down quickly in just a few simple steps.
