If a buckle breaks while you're out and about, the Field Repair Buckle from Sea to Summit provides a quick replacement. The sturdy buckle has a metal pin that can be unscrewed and can therefore be installed on sewn-in loops. The other side is intended for looping through a belt. Buckles like this are often found on shoulder or compression harnesses.
