Sea to Summit Comfort Light Self Inflating

The Comfort Light Self Inflating sleeping mat from Sea to Summit is a light, self-inflating mat. When inflated, it is five centimetres thick. The outdoor mattress is made from a velvety soft stretch material laminated to a foam core. To save weight and volume, the polyurethane foam core has delta-shaped recesses. This Delta Core construction is patent pending and removes 40 percent of the initial volume of the PU foam, but only in the inner layer. The outer layers remain completely intact. This ensures even warmth over the entire length of the self-inflating mattress - there are no gaps through which heat can escape downwards. In addition, the outer material adheres better to the foam. No waves, no dots, no holes that could get in the way. When you open the one-way valve, the mattress expands and fills itself with air. For the final air supply, you can also inflate it with your mouth. The same valve can be converted into a one-way valve to release the air. This allows you to deflate the mattress simply by rolling it up. Its R-value (thermal resistance) of 3.1 indicates good insulation performance at temperatures around zero degrees.
