With the Ultra-Fine Mesh Head Net from Sea to Summit, you can keep your head free from mosquitoes, midges and other pests such as sand flies or black flies, which are active during the day. The thin net material is extremely light, but has a very tight mesh density. The suborder of mosquitoes alone comprises around 45 species. They are mostly delicate and slenderly built, have very specialized antennae and long, thin legs. The high mesh density is particularly suitable for the cooler climates such as Scandinavia, Iceland, Canada, Alaska or Russia, as the animals are much smaller here and can slip through normal nets. However, none of the 45 can get through this net material. It is best to wear a sturdy hat with a brim underneath so that the net does not touch the skin anywhere. The mesh extends well over the neck and can be adjusted in width using the elastic drawstring. If you don't need it, you can pack it away in the tiny bag provided.
