Mirror compass in matchbox format for the northern and southern hemispheres.
In the Global series from Recta, the pointer and magnet are mounted separately. The needle does not hang when the magnetic line is critical, but can rotate freely. The needle itself swings on a sapphire bearing in anti-static liquid and settles quickly. With Suunto's DP system, you don't have to think upside down when taking bearings, as the mirror is located underneath the compass housing and does not interfere with your view when taking bearings. The graduation of the rose is 360°. When open, the compass has an 11 cm long bearing edge and sighting line. The Suunto MB-6 G has a declination correction by means of an enclosed mini screwdriver. On the back of the mirror there is a conversion table that allows you to convert the degrees read from the inclinometer into slope percentages. The Suunto MB-6 comes with a cord, declination adjustment key and detailed instructionsSUUNTO is RECTAMany of you are familiar with the Swiss Recta compass, the classic military compass. Many of you have probably also noticed the similarity between RECTA compasses and SUUNTO compass models. There is a simple reason for this: RECTA was taken over by SUUNTO in 1996. However, the compasses continued to be produced for a long time under the RECTA brand and with the Swiss coat of arms. Today, all of these compasses are manufactured in Finland by SUUNTO, one of the world's largest manufacturers of precision measuring instruments such as diving instruments, functional sport watches and - of course - compasses. RECTA, or SUUNTO, supplies the armies of Switzerland, Austria and Canada with its compasses. For a short time now, the RECTA compasses produced by SUUNTO have been marketed under the SUUNTO brand.
